The UAE’s Year of Community 2025: “Hand in Hand”
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has declared 2025 as the Year of Community, under the inspiring tagline “Hand in Hand.” Running from January to December 2025, this initiative reflects the UAE’s enduring values of ambition, humanity, optimism, resilience, authenticity, and openness.
At its core, the Year of Community calls upon every individual and organisation to strengthen the social fabric of the nation by focusing on three key pillars:

Reem Runs: Fitness With a Shared Spirit
The Reem Mall Indoor Summer Run Series has quickly become a highlight on our calendar, bringing fitness enthusiasts, families, and beginners together on a shared track. More than just exercise, these runs are about celebrating health, encouraging teamwork, and showing that when we run together, we grow stronger together.
The Air-X Inflatable Obstacle Run: Fun Meets Challenge
On 30 August 2025, Reem Mall hosted its first-ever giant indoor inflatable Obstacle Run, in association with Supersports Events, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Skechers, bringing adventure, energy, and togetherness under one roof. Families, friends, and colleagues came together to form teams, tackling a thrilling course that combined speed, stamina, and plenty of laughs.
Participants had the choice of three formats:
- Sprint (1 lap)
- Pace X (2 laps)
- Enduro X (3 laps)
This made it a challenge for both casual fun-seekers and competitive spirits alike. Fully air-conditioned and designed for all ages, the event wasn’t just about strength and agility, but also about teamwork, resilience, and celebrating the spirit of community.
Summer IP Shows: Entertainment for All Ages
Our Summer IP Shows turned Reem Mall into a hub of family fun, featuring global favourites that brought joy across generations.
Smurfs Live Shows (17–30 July 2025)
- Magical forest activity area set up with photo spots, a giant Smurfs inflatable, and Smurf statues.
- Smurf-tastic Science Fair Live Stage Show (3 daily shows).
- Meet & greet with Smurfs characters, interactive games, and AR experiences.
- Live show of the new Smurfs movie at VOX Cinemas.
Madagascar Live Shows (08–21 August 2025)
- Jungle-themed activities: obstacle courses, memory games, and dance-offs.
- Madagascar Stars of the Jungle live show with Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melman, and the Penguins.
- Meet & greet with Alex the Lion for memorable family moments.
These shows weren’t just entertainment. They created shared experiences, uniting families and generations through laughter, imagination, and joy.
Reem Rocks & Coldplay Fanzone: Music and Memories
Reem Rocks brings people together through the universal language of music. Whether it’s live performances, local talent showcases, or cultural soundscapes, these events offer moments where strangers become friends and families celebrate together.
Building on our rich experience in hosting large‑scale, immersive entertainment events, we also have a track record of presenting the Coldplay Fan Zone in sync with the band’s live concerts in Abu Dhabi. This week‑long celebration featured live performances of Coldplay’s greatest hits, interactive VR music games, an innovative floor piano, and family‑friendly activities such as arts and crafts workshops and face painting.
The Motor Shows: More Than a Display
The Reem Mall Motor Show is all about cars but also about a celebration of creativity, innovation, and shared passion. Bringing enthusiasts, designers, and families together under one roof, it represents how communities can unite around common interests and aspirations.
Marking Cultural and Seasonal Festivities
Festivals are at the heart of community life, and at Reem Mall, we proudly celebrate occasions that bring people together across cultures and traditions.
